Our Story
The Nepal Citizen Party (NCP) was founded to confront Nepal’s enduring challenges of political instability, entrenched corruption, and weak governance that have hindered national progress and eroded public trust. Despite the resilience and achievements of individual citizens, successive governments have failed to deliver transparency, accountability, and equitable opportunities, leaving the nation lagging behind its regional peers.
Nepal’s citizens have grown increasingly disillusioned with a system that prioritizes vested interests over public service, fostering inequality, economic stagnation, and exclusion from decision‑making processes. This persistent disconnect between the aspirations of the people and the actions of political institutions has created an urgent need for reform.
We, the citizens, who hold unwavering faith in the values of civic responsibility, patriotism, participatory democracy, progressiveness, and a competent and strategic foreign policy, now unite to make a historic pledge to establish a mainstream political party based on citizen leadership. We resolve to build an inclusive, transparent, and accountable governance system by placing the voice of citizens at the center of state administration.
NCP emerges as a structured, reform‑driven political force dedicated to restoring faith in governance and placing citizens at the heart of national transformation. The party embodies the collective will of Nepalis at home and abroad who demand integrity, inclusivity, and foresight in leadership. By institutionalizing the spirit of citizen empowerment, NCP seeks to build competent citizens, ensure quality of life, and advance a sovereign, progressive, and self‑reliant Nepal.
The Nepal Citizen Party also stands in solidarity with the generational awakening. It is a platform to institutionalize the spirit of the Gen‑Z uprising and to channel the collective will of all generations toward building a truly progressive, accountable, and reformed Nepal. Our mission is to safeguard the achievements of this movement and to translate the people’s voice into lasting, lived experiences through gradual and consistent reform.

The mission of the Nepal Citizen Party (NCP) is to institutionalize Citizencracy (नागरिकतन्त्र) by placing citizens at the center of governance, ensuring human rights, rule of law, and social justice while eliminating poverty, corruption, and discrimination. It seeks to strengthen unity and patriotism through diversity, empower citizens with participatory democracy, advance progressive reforms in economy, education, health, and technology for sustainable development, and uphold a competent and strategic foreign policy that protects sovereignty and elevates Nepal’s global standing.
